Welcome to the London Capital & Finance Osberton International Horse Trials

Welcome to London Capital & Finance Osberton International Horse Trials. Osberton has been running since its inception in the 1960’s with BEDE at the helm for the last 12 years. Osberton has become a firm favourite within the eventing community with its fun and relaxed atmosphere. Riders strive throughout the season to get to the British Eventing Young Horse Championships held at the event. Alongside the 4, 5, 6 and 7-year-old championships, Osberton also hosts a fiercely competitive one and two star competition.

The Young Horse Championships have grown significantly over the years, with Olympic rides coming through the ranks at Osberton. It’s definitely the place to be to see the best young horses put to the test. However, although Osberton is notable for these Championships, there is plenty more to see and do including visiting the many trade stands, the Pony Club show jumping and, the eagerly awaited return of the Shire Horses.

The Horse Trials is run at Osberton by kind permission of GMT Foljambe, and we are hugely grateful to him for allowing us access to run this event.

This year we are delighted to announce our new Kid’s Corner, sponsored by Worksop College and Ranby House. Within our new Kid’s Corner we have got a multitude of exciting events going on, which include, a funfair, bouncy castle, games and entertainers!

With all children under 14 going free, it is a great day out for the whole family. Alongside this great new addition, there will be a weekend full of equestrian action, include World Number 1 Oliver Townend and newly crowned team and individual World Champion Ros Canter. If you would prefer a calmer day out, then head to our shopping village and put your feet up in the British Polo Gin Den!

For the full fmaily day out, bring along your four legged friend and take part in the Dog Show, you may have the best 6 legs in North Nottinghamshire, or for the more active, race round our Dog Agility arena!

Worksop College and Ranby House’s Marketing & Admission Director, Leila Gold said ““Support of this event was an obvious choice for us. Osberton is an important date in the North Nottinghamshire calendar and we’re hoping to see lots of our families there.”

Osberton ‘s Chosen Charity 2018

We are pleased to welcome Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice as our chosen charity for this year’s Osberton International. Bluebell Wood provide care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions.  They currently support around 250 families, in both the hospice and in family homes.  It costs more than £4 million per year to run the services provided for families across South Yorkshire, North Notts, Derbyshire and parts of Lincolnshire and we hope that working closely with the charity throughout Osberton we can help it raise a substantial amount towards helping this wonderful work.

For more information on the great work carried out by Bluebell Wood, head to the website
